As a senior angler, registering for our event gives you a shot at winning some major prizes. In 2025, we're expecting 250 senior nominations, while junior nominations remain open (pending entries).
To ensure affordability and value, we've been able to drop senior from $245 to $210 for seniors and a slight increase to $70 for juniors per registration.
Key Event Details:
- Fishing begins at 6am on Friday, October 24th, 2025.
- Fishing concludes at 3pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025, with anglers welcome to fish through the night.
- All fish submissions must be made by 4pm on October 25, 2025.
- No restrictions on line class; rod and reel or hand line captures only.
- Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 anglers, with no requirement for all team members to fish from the same boat.
Prizes up for grabs include:
- A 440 Quintrex Busta Boat & Trailer Package with a 60hp Yamaha Tiller steer motor. Boat will be custom wrapped. Worth nearly $40,000 for the senior entrant prize.
- The prestigious John Carter Trophy for Grand Champion Barramundi
- Awards for Senior and Junior Champions and Runners-up
- Recognition for Champion Senior and Junior Teams
- Various prizes for largest accumulated lengths of Mangrove Jack, Javelin Fish, Threadfin Salmon, and more
